Shamballa Reiki is a Multi-Dimensional Healing technology, said by some to be a development of Reiki, the process of attunement is the same, as are the hand-positions when giving healing, however, Shamballa Reiki could be described as being a lot more intuitive and less prescriptive than more 'traditional' Reiki.Shamballa is a living energy, continually evolving to suit the needs of a changing world. Those who are attuned to Shamballa are open to this constantly refining energy, and each time they connect, they are updated. Shamballa is a blend of different types of energy, including: Universal Life Force Energy: (Reiki) Mahatma Energy: one of the most powerful energies of pure, unconditional love. Also, the energy of the Ascended Masters: beings who have completed their reincarnation cycles and exist in spirit form as teachers of humanity, assisting spiritual evolution and the evolution of the planet as a whole.
Shamballa came into our consciousness through the internationally known channel, healer and teacher John Armitage, a key figure in our Reiki Lineage. Since the 1980s, many Reiki masters in the west, fascinated by research into Reiki's true origins, have felt called upon to develop and add to the original teachings. In 1995, John Armitage, a Reiki Master, open to channelling Ascended Master St. Germain, received a new development of the Reiki system. A higher vibrational frequency which is in constant evolution. John Armitage called this energy the 'Shamballa Reiki system' and he refers to Shamballa, simply as: "what Reiki has become".

Personally, I stumbled upon the Shamballa system of Reiki quite by accident. I was ignorant of the different strands of Reiki when I signed myself up for a Reiki I course. Only after I had completed the course did I realise that I had been attuned to Shamballa Reiki. I feel now that this was no accident at all. Shamballa Reiki suits my personality perfectly. I am very respectful and grateful to the solid foundation that the Reiki discipline demands, I feel it allows me to be more natural and free to follow my intuition during healing sessions, workshops, attunements and fully immerse myself in channelling what I like to call the awesome power of Shamballa. I like to follow my heart and go with the flow of life, I always trust that what I am guided to do when channelling Shamballa is for the greater good for all. It has certainly brought happiness and meaning to my own life.
